Martin Mac 250 Wash Manual 2016
Good evening folks. I've been given the use of two Martin Mac 250 Entours for a couple of weeks in return for cleaning and servicing them. They've been sitting in a corner of a night club for two years with exploded bulbs inside of them, and probably also need lubricated (one of the shutters used to stick when I worked with them four years ago). My questions:
- QLC+ is a free and cross-platform software to control DMX or analog lighting systems like moving heads, dimmers, scanners etc. This project is a fork of the great QLC project written by Heikki Junnila that aims to continue the QLC development and to introduce new features. The primary goal is to bring QLC+ at the level of other lighting control commercial softwares.
- Hi, I originally purchased my DMX a long time ago, since then however i have swapped my windows laptop for a Mac. I went to download the Mac version but couldn't find it. Plus i now don't have a unlock code as the disc and box are lost somewhere during my recent house move. Please help as i have a new show to program for my disco.
- The MAC 250 Krypton is a high performance profile with a separate gobo and color wheel, an achromatic lens system and a rotating prism. Motorized focus Mechanical dimming Interchangeable rotating prism Strobe effect up to 14 Hz, pulse effects, instant open and blackout Rapid strobe effects (up to 14 Hz) Pan and tilt range of 540°/257°.
Any tips for this task? I've found the service manual for them, but any wisdom borne of experience would be appreciated. One thing I'm concerned about: the owner's manual calls for a teflon-based lube, while the service manual calls for a silicone lube. What's up with that?
I don't have anything to control them with. Any recommendations for software/controllers that will work with an iPad? I'm looking at Luminair, but I can't get a good sense of whether it will work with the Mac 250s, or what kind of DMX interface I need to be able to go from wifi to DMX. (All the Art-Net interfaces I've looked at are expensive as hell, and Ethernet only).

Thanks in advance!
